Most people I know want to be productive and if productivity were to be measured by businesses, most of us would be productive. However, we find that some of the busiest people are the least productive.
One of the reasons is because they say yes to the wrong things.
“It’s only by saying NO that you can concentrate on the things that are really important”- Steve Jobs
“If you don’t live by priorities you will live by pressure.”- Apostle Dupe Adefala (aka Mima).
Apostle Paul put it like this.. “For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him.” 2 Timothy 2:4 TPT
So have you drawn out your priorities? Your priorities will help you streamline what you give yourself to.
It’s because life will give you a plethora of options and you will have to choose.
Every decision you make affects the trajectory of your life. Decisions about what to study, where to study, whether to go through formal education, what job to take, whether to start a business, who your friends are, who to marry and believe it or not, even what to eat.
One of the most powerful forces in life is the power of choice aka the power to decide.
What you decide determines where you end up.. your decisions determines your destiny.
What you need to do is empower yourself to make the right decisions.
This of course starts with the mind.
Renewing your mind, exposing your mind to the right information, meditating on the good, on what is right helps reconfigure your mind.
You can change your mindset.
You can stop yourself from self sabotaging by empowering yourself to make the right decisions.
This will come by making the Word of God your meditation, getting informed about the area you would like the change to occur, yes you have to pray and fast and intentionally do the good you know to do and say no to the seed you don’t want to see grow in your life. This frees you up to say YES to all the things you want to see in your life.
But don’t believe the lie that you don’t have a choice. In Christ, you do. You have a choice!
”My people perish for a lack of knowledge!”- Hosea 4:6.
Get some knowledge!
What don’t you currently like about your life?
Don’t be afraid to face it. Write it down.
What do you need to know to change it?
Go get that knowledge. Ask the Lord to show you what you need to know. Do some research! Read! Pray! Plan! Act!
Shift your thinking, get the right mindset and you will steer your life in the right direction to change what you currently don’t like.
I pray that this will be your most productive year yet in Jesus name and that by faith you will do exploits in Jesus name.
